About the Opportunity
This is a permanent, full-time career opportunity within a centralized Corporate Supply Chain Management division, directly supporting a major regional hospital facility. If selected, you will be hired directly as a regular employee of the organization we represent. You will be on their payroll and eligible for their full suite of benefits from your start date. Purpose
The Supply Chain Inventory Specialist owns the full lifecycle of inventory management within the hospital infrastructure. This professional manages the secure receipt of inbound materials, organizes specialized storage units, audits clinical inventory for expiration compliance, and rapidly fulfills critical departmental supply requisitions. Operating at the intersection of logistics and healthcare delivery, this role is essential for maintaining strict regulatory storage standards and ensuring frontline medical teams have the resources necessary for uninterrupted patient care.
Responsibilities
- Inbound Logistics & Receiving: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming equipment and materials from delivery trucks. Compare packing slips against physical shipments to verify accuracy, document any transit damages, and stage items for processing.
- ERP Inventory Management: Route verified data into the PeopleSoft ERP system to maintain accurate, real-time records of digital and physical goods receipt.
- Par-Level Management & Auditing: Conduct strict, routine inventory checks of hospital par-stock locations. Proactively rotate stock to minimize waste, identify and safely dispose of expired products, and execute precise replenishment orders.
- Specialized Pharmacy Liaison: Coordinate the storage and tracking of highly regulated, FDA-legend medical supplies under the direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, utilizing authorized access to secure pharmaceutical zones.
- Requisition Fulfillment & Distribution: Pull, pack, and safely transport supply requests to requisitioning hospital departments, ensuring clean delivery documentation is signed and filed for administrative compliance.
- Shipping & Return Coordination: Package, mark, and draft bills of lading for outgoing shipments, seamlessly managing product returns between clinical units and the centralized distribution center.
- Equipment Operation & Safety: Safely and proficiently operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and hand trucks, to store and stack bulky cargo in designated warehousing configurations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain assigned materials management zones in absolute alignment with hospital safety, fire, and Joint Commission infection control standards.
Minimum Essential Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Core Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in warehousing, inventory management, retail stock tracking, or healthcare logistics.
- Technical Compliance: Proven physical ability to safely operate manual and mechanical material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.).
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to listen to, understand, and execute structured verbal and written instructions. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate professionally with hospital clinical staff.
