Senior Medical Assistant – Oncology & Hematology
Location: Washington, PA 15301 (Newly Renovated Facility)
Status: Regular, Full-Time – Company employee from Day One; not a temporary or contract position
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Daylight Hours (No evenings, weekends, or holidays)
New Hire Starting Pay Rate: Up to $21.00 per hour, to start
Advancement Opportunities: Incremental pay increases, over time earned through continuous learning and performance-based initiatives. This role allows for plenty of growth by aspiring to earn up to $28 per hour, after hire.
We seek a Senior Medical Assistant to serve as a clinical leader, mentoring staff and ensuring our clinic operates with the highest standards of excellence.

Senior-Level Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership: Guide daily workflows, assign tasks to clinical staff, and act as the "Super User" for Epic Care (EMR).
- Mentorship: Orient and provide ongoing training for new hires; assist management with departmental goals and process improvements.
- Patient Care Excellence: Take vitals, triage patients, perform "comfort rounds," and assist physicians with specialized oncology procedures.
- Technical Proficiency: Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level-one lab testing. Administer injectable medications and vaccines under physician supervision.
- Care Coordination: Manage patient flow, schedule complex exams and treatments, verify insurance, and ensure all medical records are HIPAA-compliant.
- Facility Oversight: Maintain a sterile and organized environment, managing inventory and ensuring infection control protocols are strictly followed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clinical Training: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program (or equivalent LPN/RN/EMT program) OR active certification (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA) OR at least 1 year of direct patient care experience.
- Expertise: Proficiency in medical terminology and diagnostic/treatment room responsibilities. Basic computer skills are essential.
- Senior Requirements: Must demonstrate proficiency in advanced practice-specific tasks and possess the ability to lead and mentor others.
Licensure & Clearances:
- CPR/BLS: Basic Life Support or CPR certification required (must include didactic and skills components) within 30 days of hire.
- Clearances: Standard state-required criminal clearances (Act 34)
