Location: Harrisburg, PA 17110 

Shift: Day Job (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; Occasional later schedule on Tues, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM) 

Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire (Permanent Staff)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Clinical Medical Assistant to join a compassionate care team at a specialized recovery center in Harrisburg. This role is designed for a clinical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing patient-centered support throughout the recovery journey.

Compensation & Growth

  • Starting Range: Up to $21.84/hr (Commensurate with experience, aligned with the 25th percentile of the hiring range).
  • Long-Term Potential: The position offers a growth ceiling of up to $29.15/hr. This maximum rate is the target for established employees achieved through continuous learning, internal advancement, and sustained clinical impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Support: Collect patient history, take vitals, and perform screenings; assist with phlebotomy, EKGs, and level-one laboratory testing.
  • Patient Care: Support patients with transfers, dressing, and specimen collection; administer injectable medications and vaccines under physician supervision.
  • Operational Flow: Organize patient flow, manage schedules, and coordinate medical records in strict accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Environment Management: Maintain infection control by preparing and cleaning exam rooms and instruments; manage clinical inventory and restock supplies.
  • Administrative Coordination: Answer inquiries, provide patient education as directed, and manage charts to ensure all information is filed accurately.
Mandatory Requirements
To be considered for this senior-level role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Clinical Training: * Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent hospital program (LPN/RN/EMT); OR
    • Successful completion of a national certification examination (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA).
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of prior direct patient care experience is required.
  • Core Competencies: * Must demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and diagnostic room responsibilities.
    • Must be proficient in three practice-specific clinical categories.
  • Certifications & Clearances: * Current BLS or CPR certification (AHA standards) required.
    • Must possess or obtain all required state clearances (Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting).
