Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room – Night Shift
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with immediate full benefits; not a temporary job)
Location: Carlisle, PA 17013 (Cumberland County area)
Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shift (Dedicated night schedule; premium shift differentials available for experienced RNs)
New Hire Starting Base Pay: $39.00 – $42.00 per hour (Starting salary placement is determined by years of nursing experience, degree level, and emergency clinical background.) – Sign-on bonus and loan forgiveness available.
Future Earning Potential: Position salary range progresses up to $52.00 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and clinical career ladder advancement.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ASN, Diploma, BSN, MSN, or DNP); BSN preferred. Graduate Nurses must complete the NCLEX licensure exam within 6 months of start date.
- Licensure & Certification: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or eligible compact state/multistate license. CPR certification required (AHA didactic and skills demonstration) within 30 days of hire. National emergency nursing certification preferred.
- Experience: 0 to 2+ years of professional nursing experience. Emergency medicine clinical experience preferred.
- Essential Skills: Critical thinking, clinical assessment, patient/family education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and physical stamina for emergency care environments.

- Emergency Nursing Care: Manage and deliver high-quality acute nursing care to emergency department patients using independent judgment and the nursing process.
- Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Formulate daily goals, assess clinical needs, and develop holistic care plans in direct partnership with patients, families, and emergency physicians.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Articulate patient condition changes, negotiate care recommendations, and maintain comprehensive clinical documentation across the care team.
- Quality & Patient Safety: Participate in unit-based shared governance, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based clinical practice to elevate patient outcomes.
- Staff & Patient Education: Provide clear discharge and transition instructions to patients/families, and mentor students or new nursing colleagues as a preceptor.
