Location: On-Site |Washington, PA 15301
Status: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Schedule: Full-Time, Daylight Shift - Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts scheduled between 5:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Starting Pay: Up to $22.00/hour (Based on experience)
After Hire Earning Potential: Performance-based increases up to $30.00/hour

Purpose of the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Phlebotomist to join a premier regional healthcare organization. This role is designed for a technical expert who excels in patient care and possesses the leadership maturity to guide a high-performing clinical team. As a Lead, you will serve as the primary point of contact for operational flow, ensuring that every patient experience is handled with the highest level of accuracy, safety, and professionalism.
Core Responsibilities
- Clinical Excellence: Collect specimens efficiently and accurately, adhering strictly to established clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Delegate phlebotomy priorities and non-urgent tasks to staff to maintain optimal workflow; assist in ensuring team compliance with dress codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Mentorship & Onboarding: Act as a primary resource for training and orienting new team members to ensure a seamless integration into the department.
- Complex Problem Resolution: Investigate clinical or logistical occurrences and document them in a timely manner; immediately escalate unresolved issues to the supervisor.
- Administrative Oversight: Manage essential clerical duties, including data entry, filing, and processing/packaging specimens according to specific testing requirements.
- Client Advocacy: Communicate directly with clients and patients to confirm handwritten orders, obtain accurate billing information, and secure necessary diagnostic (DX) codes.
Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification: The successful candidate must hold a current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) credential from the NHA, AMT, or NPS.
- Education: Completion of a nationally recognized or accredited Phlebotomy Training Program is required.
- Clinical Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in performing phlebotomy, blood draws, and injections.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading a clinical team, with a background in training new employees or serving as a formal mentor.
- Licensure: Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in medical terminology and experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is preferred.
- Professional Attributes: Demonstrated ability to establish work priorities, manage multiple procedures simultaneously, and collaborate effectively across departments.
