Medical Front Office & Patient Registration Coordinator

(On-site, Hummelstown, PA 17036)

  • Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with full benefits; not a temporary job)
  • Location: Hummelstown, PA 17036
  • Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift (Monday – Friday, daylight hours; up to 25% local travel to nearby clinic sites in Hershey or Lemoyne for staffing coverage; no weekends or holidays required)
  • New Hire Starting Base Pay: $19.41 – $21.85 per hour (Starting salary placement is determined by direct customer service, medical front office, or billing/registration experience.)
  • Future Earning Potential: Position salary range progresses up to $29.15 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and administrative career ladder advancement.
Mandatory Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Experience & Skills: Two (2) years of experience in a medical, medical billing and physician office or medical environment. Ob/Gyn practice experience preferred. Personal computer proficiency and typing skills required.
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Medipac preferred; knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Customer Service & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to navigate patient intake, educate patients on financial obligations, and promote patient portal onboarding.
How You'll Make an Impact

  • Patient Arrival & Onboarding: Warmly greet patients, guide use of self-arrival technology or complete front-desk check-in and assist patients with patient portal registration.
  • Registration & Benefit Verification: Verify insurance coverage via online systems or telephone, update patient demographic and insurance data, and obtain required HIPAA consent signatures.
  • Financial Navigation & Point-of-Service Collections: Educate patients on copayments and financial responsibilities, collect payments at the point of service, and connect patients with financial advocacy resources when needed.
  • Scheduling & Continuum of Care: Schedule follow-up appointments at checkout, assist with care coordination, and resolve patient inquiries to ensure continuity of care.
