The Role: Elevating the Patient Journey
We are seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy Medical Billing Specialist to serve as the face of our medical practice. In this role, you aren’t just checking people in—you are a brand ambassador who guides patients through the modern healthcare landscape. You will blend traditional hospitality with emerging consumer technologies to ensure every patient and family member receives a seamless, world-class experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Excellence: Provide a warm, professional greeting and act as a navigator, helping patients understand their care instructions and resolving any service hurdles on the spot.
- Technology Advocacy: Guide patients in utilizing self-arrival technology, biometric registration (fingerprint recognition), and our comprehensive Patient Portal to streamline their access to health information.
- Financial Coordination: Educate patients on their co-payments and financial obligations, collect point-of-service payments, and connect patients to financial advocacy resources when appropriate.
- Clinical Support & Logistics: Update patient demographics and insurance coverage, verify benefits with carriers, and handle administrative duties like medical record scanning and triaging high-volume phone calls.
- Continuity of Care: Manage the checkout process by scheduling follow-up appointments and coordinating ancillary services to ensure no patient leaves without a clear next step.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations while obtaining necessary consents for treatment and financial responsibility.
What You Bring

Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: Two years in a medical billing position within a clinical setting
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in personal computer applications and office equipment is required. Prior experience with platforms like Epic, Medipac, or similar health record systems is a significant plus.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance verification processes
