Certified Medical Assistant (current certification required)
Location: On-Site – Somerset, PA 15501
Work Schedule: Full-Time (Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm) – NO holidays, evenings or weekends are required
New Hire Starting Pay: As a new hire, up to $21.00 per hour, based on skills and experience

Role Purpose
Support exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative outpatient setting. We’re searching for a compassionate and detail‑oriented Certified Medical Assistant who is dedicated to creating a seamless and supportive experience for every patient.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support & Patient Care
- Direct Patient Assistance: Escort patients to exam rooms, assist with transfers/positioning, and prepare them for procedures.
- Clinical Intake: Collect detailed patient histories, record vital signs, and perform screenings according to provider protocols.
- Diagnostic Procedures: Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and Level 1 lab tests with precision.
- Provider Assistance: Support physicians during clinical procedures and administer injectable medications or vaccines under direct supervision.
- Patient Education: Relay medical instructions and educational materials to patients and families as directed by the provider.
- Environment Upkeep: Prepare, clean, and disinfect exam/procedure rooms between visits to ensure strict infection control.
- Instrument Care: Set up, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments and equipment
- Inventory Control: Proactively manage supply levels and restock exam rooms to ensure seamless clinic flow.
Administrative & Data Integrity
- Documentation: Accurately input patient data, lab results, and x-ray reports into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Front Office Operations: Manage patient scheduling, verify insurance coverage, and handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette.
- Records Management: Process medical record requests and manage patient charts in strict accordance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
Compliance & Safety
- Regulatory Adherence: Maintain full compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and PA Department of Health standards.
- Policy Alignment: Uphold all Company policies, ensuring a high standard of patient confidentiality and data security.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Certification: Completion of an accredited medical assistant program and active medical assistant certification required
- Professional Experience - Minimum of 2 years in a medical office, medical billing, or high-volume healthcare customer service role is required.
- Technical Expertise: Proven proficiency in medical terminology and experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Medipac, or similar).
- Skills: Exceptional typing speed/accuracy and the ability to navigate complex computer-based applications simultaneously.
